First Look at The Squeeze

The Squeeze is in the process of becoming a book, and my fellow teammates over at matchstic just completed the first look at the book cover designs. I may be a little biased - but I've got to say - they do incredible work!

I'd love to hear your feedback. As you look at these two possible cover designs, think about which would speak more to you as a Middle Manager (MM). What would you be more likely to pick up from a bookshelf? Simply comment on this post with your thoughts. The 2 cover design options we're considering are below:

Look forward to hearing from you!

You can't go wrong with either--they are both awesome designs. My only comment and it is only a comment is that the first cover has two men in suits. On one hand it works as the image clearly represents the title and comes across great visually, but suits and ties don't represent today's business person as it used to. I guess I like the second one as I think the art represents the title best. In The Squeeze sounds very current and fresh and maybe more geared to today's business person.

FYI--Page tile has lower case "e" in it--not sure if that was on purpose or not.

Hope that helps, but again you can't go wrong with either.

#2 !!! Its fresh, matches your no non-sense writing style, and conceptually has the most pull for me. My only comment would be to stress the "tension" that comes from managing in the middle MORE! Maybe the Q or even the U are smaller or being squeezed by the vice! Love 'em though, but then again I'm alittle bias too.

I like #2 as well.
First glance at the first one and I thought it was a zipper or something closing. Only a quick second look revealed the two executives. I agree as well regarding the current business climate and coupled with that is the need to consider gender.
